[ mood | clearly not amused ]

And just when I thought these damn books couldn't get any more pathetic; they've turned into a mudblood support group.

Perhaps some changes are for the better.

Ex-lover. Ex!

Bloody Prophet with its incompetent reporters. Hacks, all of them.

It seems these books have been quiet the past few days, and I don't mean the good sort of quiet, where all the mudbloods and shirtlifters scamper off into a corner and abandon their journals to shag goats and sacrifice virgins.

I mean, of course, the other sort of quiet, the sort where everyone with any sort of redeeming quality is either busy or on their way, wrongfully, to Azkaban. Delightful.

I never thought I'd say it, but I almost miss her childish antics. At least they were amusing.

This is ridiculous. I bet there's not even any real evidence.

Narcissa, I apologize for not responding before; but I do still think I should see you. Name the time and place, and I will be present.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, I present to you concrete evidence that Albus Dumbledore has, indeed, gone off the proverbial deep end.

Given the chance to right the grave mistake that was appointing a halfblood to a position of authority, he has chosen, instead, to take a man with a rather inappropriate liking for children, and hand him a job as a schoolteacher.

If this isn't evidence that the wizarding world is being shot to hell, well then, I'm not sure what is.

All things considered, this weekend is looking very promising.

Two of the wizarding world's finest, found tortured to death?

Why, I can't imagine who would commit such a horrible act.

Regulus, have you given any further thought to your future?

Narcissa, darling, the other night was a wonderful time. We'll have to do that more often.

I've been avoiding writing here lately, I'm afraid, due to the holiday over the weekend and its increasing the likelihood of my opening this book to find even more buggering and sullying than usual. I don't know why I bother with this wretched contraption, really. Next thing you know I'll come out of my chambers to find a giant drunken orgy of poufs and mudbloods and kittens and rabbits on my rug.

That said, I believe it should go without saying that I see no value in a holiday in which couples the world over call each other by ridiculous names and wave around stuffed toys which no child over the age of six should be legally allowed to posess. Besides, a man of my stature has no time for sentiment.

Thank Merlin the horror is over. Now back to business as usual.

All my previous business has been sorted out, and I plan to arrive at Hogwarts tomorrow afternoon.

Regulus, I'd still like a word with you, if you can manage it.

Bellatrix, darling, let me know when you have some free time this week, I would love to see you. Thank you very much for a wonderful weekend.

Narcissa, the party was wonderful. Do send Lucius my regards, of course, and my compliments to the hostess as always.

Sirius, keep trying. I've heard the down variety are the hardest to digest.

Unfortunately, my trip to Hogwarts has been postponed until next week; I had a bit of family business which needed to be seen to first. Bellatrix, Regulus, I do hope you understand.

Narcissa, count on my presence tomorrow. No measure of important business could keep me away from one of yours and Lucius's infamous soirees, you know that.

This little book seems to be positively overrun with lowlifes, degenerates, and worst of all, muggles. In fact, I believe the thing is actually making my chambers smell.

Bellatrix, the next time you intend to get me a gift, might I suggest cufflinks?

...Although the green cover is lovely. Almost makes me nostalgic for my school days.
